The opening ceremony of the initial seminars of the FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Program was held

The FAO - Azerbaijan Partnership Program (FAPP) hosted the opening seminar of the Agrarian Services Agency's Support to Structural Reform and Strategic Development and the improvement of the Seed and Agrochemistry Laboratory and Certification Service under the Agrarian Services Agency.

The workshop was organized to announce the launch of projects to relevant stakeholders, including ministries, national and international organizations and institutions, the private sector and civil society, as well as the media.

The main activities of the project, its scope and implementation stages will be presented, and measures and implementation methods, as well as the roles and responsibilities of partners will be clarified. The aim of the project is to present the main activities at the scope and implementation stages and to clarify the measures and implementation methods, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the partners. Stakeholders will be consulted to review the project strategy and agree on future plans.

The Agrarian Services Agency's Structural Reform and Strategic Development Support project aims to support the Agrarian Services Agency's structural reforms and strategic development by strengthening the provision and efficiency of veterinary, plant protection, seed and technical control services in the country.

The purpose of the project "Improvement of Seed and Agrochemistry Laboratory and Certification Service under the Agrarian Services Agency" is to develop an effective management and control system of laboratories operating under the ASA, strengthen technical capacity, provide necessary equipment, support and improve their activities, new and modern adoption of methodologies / methods, international certification and ensuring the delivery of these services to farmers through an online platform.

Speaking at the event, the head of the FAO Partnership and Coordination Office, Malak Cakmak, spoke about the successful cooperation with the FAO, noting that the projects will have a positive impact on agricultural development. Chairman of the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency Seymur Movlayev gave detailed information about the importance of projects implemented by FAO and said that cooperation with FAO will continue. Then Mirza Aliyev expressed confidence that both projects will have a positive impact on improving the structure of the Agrarian Services Agency, as well as the development of the agricultural sector.

Employees of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture Lachin Novruzov and Reyhan Abdullayeva took part in the seminar.
