A meeting was held with schoolchildren in connection with the essay writing competition on "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan".

Regarding the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, in accordance with the plan of events approved at the Agricultural Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, in connection with the holding of an essay writing competition on the topic "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan" in the secondary school No. 188, Sabunchu district, Baku, with schoolchildren meeting was held.

The meeting was attended by Faig Khudayev, the director of the RICH, Sevinj Mammadova, the institute's deputy director for scientific affairs, Lachin Novruzov, the chairman of the Young Scientists' Council of the institute, Sabir Mahmudov, the director of school No. 188, Irada Ibrahimova, one of the teachers, Asmar Mahmudova, the organizer of the school, and students.

During his speech, F. Khudayev told the students about the exceptional services of Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan, the scientific-organizational activity of the Institute and the role of the institute in ensuring food security in the country. Then he announced the rules of the essay writing contest and said that the contest will play an important role in promoting the rich heritage of the Great Leader and developing innovative writing skills among schoolchildren.

Sevinj Mammadova, deputy director for scientific affairs of RICH, came out and emphasized the importance of expressing students' personal thoughts by holding such a competition in connection with the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. He pointed out that the purpose of holding this competition is also to improve students' creative writing abilities, to gain self-confidence in expressing their knowledge and skills, and to enable them to acquire new information and perspectives while conducting research.

Lachin Novruzov, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, told the students about the role of the development of the agricultural sector, and in general, the improvement of the well-being of every citizen of our country.

Speaking at the event, the director of the school, Sabir Mahmudov, talked about the role of young people in the formation of a young generation with an intellectual level and national thinking, and in successfully continuing the youth policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The history teacher of the school, Irada Ibrahimova, said that the purpose of the competition was to study the honorable life and social activities of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, to raise a young generation with high erudition, a broad worldview, and a national mindset based on the state youth policy founded by the Great Leader, to strengthen the spirit of patriotism in young people and to promote the ideology of Azerbaijanism.
