At present, the activity in the agricultural sector continues in accordance with the requirements of the special quarantine regime. In order to assess the current situation with the progress of spring field work and the implementation of current tasks, the relevant departments of the Ministry of Agriculture hold regular video conferences.

The next video conference organized by the Department of Crop Production Organization and Monitoring of the Ministry discussed the topic "The state of grain crops in the country and the tasks ahead." Head of the Department of State Agrarian Development Centers of Kurdamir, Agstafa, Agsu, Goygol, Gazakh, Tovuz, Sheki, Agdash, Ujar, Agsu, Goychay regions, heads of Agrarian Services Agency, Agrarian Science and Innovation Center and Agricultural Research Institute and experts participated in the video conference. During the video conference, the sides exchanged views on the provision of irrigation water, the priority of crop rotation schemes, the preference for storage of herring in dry areas and the re-sowing of agricultural crops (corn, soybeans, sunflowers, buckwheat, etc.) in possible areas.

In addition, the video conference discussed the implementation of agro-technical measures against weeds, diseases and pests in grain fields.
