Presentation of annual reports of plant physiology and biotechnology department

On 09.01.2019, load yearly report was held under 3 programs for 2018 plant physiology and biotechnology department. Tofig allahverdiyev, head of department, PhD on Biology sciences opened meeting. Then, Flora Ahmedova, leading researcher and PhD on Biology sciences made a speech on “Selection of localized and introduced samples of wheat genotypes according to the archetype, lifestyle, morphological features, productivity, product components and physiological studies” under the topic of “Research of Morphophysiological, biochemical and agronomic indicators of different wheat genotypes in stress conditions and determination of high-yielding traits, using in selection”. Then, she added that 1,027 wheat samples collected at 11 pitomnics introduced at International Centers (CIMMIT and ICARDA) in the Absheron experimental base of Research Institute of Crop Husbandry have been researched in the 2017-2018 research year. From the studied varieties, the 146 disease-resistant, with high body fat and high productivity varieties (21 solid, 125 soft wheats) were selected, increasing planted area and enlisted next researches. During the research period, reports of solid and soft wheat nurseries from CIMMIT and ICARDA were compiled and 5 scientific articles were written. Deputy director on production works, Phd on biology sciences Atif Zamanov and Seyfulla Huseynov Phd on biology sciences and leading researcher made a presentation under theme of  “Determination of morphophysiological, biochemical and agronomic indicators in stress conditions of different wheat genotypes and identification and using in selection”;
