Republican meeting on "Growing tasks in the field of grain growing in Azerbaijan in 2019" held in Goygol region under the chairmanship of Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov.

t the meeting held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, heads of the "Melioration and Water Management" OJSC, responsible persons of executive authorities of different regions, directors of subordinate organizations of the Ministry and regions of the grain cultivation regions, employees and representatives of other Research institute of Crop Husbandry, as well as 89 farmers engaged in grain-growing from 41 regions.

Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov said at the meeting that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, pays special attention to the development of the agrarian sector. Every month, it is envisaged to undertake measures aimed at the discussion of the upcoming tasks related to the development of grain. Implementation of measures is intended dedicated to discussing the challenges ahead of each month regarding the development of grain growing. The task set forth by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is to achieve productivity increase. To improve productivity, all agro-technical guidelines must be observed.

Later, Rafael Guliyev, Head of the Department of Plant Cultivation Organization and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, made a presentation on "The works and problems in the field of cultivation of grain crops", Zakir Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of Melorization and Water Industry, "Ensuring irrigation of the republic's grain crops", "Agroleasing" Deputy Chairman Elmin Rahmanov delivered a report on "Organization of preparatory work on preparation for harvesting and harvesting in grain cultivation", Head of Education and Training Department of the Ministry of Agriculture Imran Djumshudov on "Organization of advisory information service for application of new technologies to grain producers". The farmer from the Yevlakh region, Senan Mammadov, shared his views on the area where the farmer Beydabe Veliyev from Sabirabad region is engaged.

At the event, the participants exchanged views on supply of mineral fertilizers, medicines, herbicides, pesticides, irrigation issues, machinery, and proposals of farmers were registered. At the event, the tasks set for the development of grain growing were talked and it was decided to conduct such discussions on a regular basis.
