Scientific seminar on "Methodology of compilation of interactive electronic soil and ecological price maps on the basis of geographical information systems (GIS)" was held at the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry

On 18.03.2019, there was held seminar in Research Institute of Crop Husbandry. Director of the Institute, Javanshir Talai opened the seminar with the opening speech, full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, doctor of biological sciences, professor, academician of the International Academy of Sciences and Russian Academy of Sciences, Advisor on Agrarian Affairs of ANAS, Garib Mammadov, and Head of BSU Department of Soil Science welcomed the participants of the event. The academician noted that this agreement will make a major contribution to the solution of topical issues in the application of science and innovation in agriculture and the training of highly qualified personnel. He said that for the first time, the electronic map platform was created for the first time on the basis of modern geographical information systems, supporting the whole spectrum of spectrum demanded by e-agriculture and other state information systems, based on the use of space information covering the territory of the country as well as the interactive renewal regime. The academician also expressed his future plans in this direction and gave recommendations. The reviewers of the methodical instruction were also mentioned by director of the Institute of Geography, academician Ramiz Mammadov, director of DATUM LLC, philologist on technique Jamal Ismayilov and professor of Seoul National University Hee-Myog Ru. At the end of the meeting, the academician answered the questions related to the relevant questions on the topic by the leading scientific worker Rufat Mirzoyev, Head of the Department of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry Mazahir Rzayev, leading researcher of Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory Yasin Karimov.
