Training on "Consistent implementation of agrotechnical measures in high and quality crop production in grain crops" was held at the State Agrarian Development Centers (GIS) of Gakh, Sheki, Gabala Districts

On 27-28 March 2019, training on "Consistent implementation of agrotechnical measures in high and quality crop production in grain crops" was held at the State Agrarian Development Centers (GIS) of Gakh, Sheki, Gabala Districts. In total, 62 farmers, different specialists and volunteers participated in the training.

In her speech, S.Mammadova informed the training participants that the grain industry was one of the leading sectors of the agricultural sector and first of all necessary agrotechnical actions plan to obtain high quality and high yields of crops, the role of factors that ensure high productivity and quality has been identified, and the scope should be expanded. In the Republic, the State Statistics Committee reports that in the Republic of Sheki-Zagatala Economic Zone and in Gabala, wheat sowing areas and productivity in different years, the share of countries in the production, import, export is mainly due to increase in productivity, which could result in both import substitution and export increase.

Wheat varieties are up to 40% in productivity growth, depending on the soil-climatic conditions of the region, selecting a high yielding, disease-resistant and pest-resistant species, and the need for certified seeds, classification of soft wheat seeds by sown quality, fertilizer groups, necessary indicators for fertilizer application, fertilizer norms and feeding time, norms of nitrogen fertilizer to hectare depending on the size of cereal crops, and the need for determining the ratio of plant's soil and fertilizer nutrient content to determine fertilizer norms informed.

He also informed the participants of the training about "Soil Scanner" and "Soil pH Meter" to determine the soil pH to determine the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soil. Mammadova gave a broad explanation of the measures taken during the first summer months on organizing struggle against rodents (wildfire), feeding for nitrogen, methods for irrigation and biotic factors - flocks, diseases and pest control.
