The international expert on “Maze” took part in Research Institute of Crop Husbandry

Considering that maize is a priority area for Azerbaijan and Turkey's success in hybrid maise production, Dr., maise Research Director, maise Research Institute, Adana, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, Ibrahim Jerit will be an expert on the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture on July 22-28 at the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry and its pilot stations in the regions.

Director of the Institute Javanshir Talai informed the guest about the importance of the organization of hybrid maze-growing, research on the quality and selection of maze in the Institute, the current problems. Ibrahim Jerit, who came to Azerbaijan as an expert in the project "Organizing hybrid seeding in Azerbaijan", will give local experts theoretical and practical knowledge about hybrid maize seed-growing, will participate in the development of mapping research and seed-growing techniques shared experiences with experts.

At present, the Institute of Initial Seed and Seed Quality Laboratory has started the selection and transplantation of seeds of maize haploid lines imported from Turkey under laboratory conditions. The research will continue until the end of the week.
